Happy Friday my friends, and happy Easter weekend to those of you celebrating this spring holiday. I know it's been a fairly quiet week, despite the fact that I'm on break, but I've been running around like a crazy person to catch and maybe even get ahead. (life if laughing at me thinking I'm getting ahead in my organizing and to dos)
I went on a little road trip north this week to take care of some business and even meet with someone for a project that I'll hopefully get to share with you soon! We also visited a few wedding venues (including this amazing property in upstate New York that I'm going to share with you next week - stunning!) and this weekend we're going on a little road trip to see family in Vermont for Easter Sunday. (Come to think of it, I spent the bulk of the week on the road, no wonder I haven't posted as frequently!)
Here's a quick round up from around the web this week of beautiful things to share on this sunny Friday.
- Admittedly, this one is a little sad, but it's also breathtakingly beautiful, and I can't stop thinking about it. Five months after Jennifer and Ange Merendino were married, Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ange captured their journey - the ups, downs and in betweens - through his photos and started a website called The Battle we Didn't Choose. This weekend, take a little time to tell, show and bask in the company of the ones you love.
- This post is just inspiring. Over at Design for Mankind, Erin posted about her choice to bring calm, peace and beauty into her life and her home. My summary won't do it justice because she eloquently talks about the small changes she consciously makes to bring these into her house and why, living more simply doesn't mean you can't achieve visual beauty. She also includes some great simple but efficiently useful items for your home.
- Winter may finally be winding down (knock on wood!) but I wouldn't put away those winter coats just yet. And what better way to scare off winter welcome spring than with a beautiful bright pink coat? Check out this bold look, with the wonderful Central Park as its backdrop, here.
- If you're hosting an Easter celebration this weekend, here are some great ideas from the folks over at Design Sponge for hosting an egg decorating party! It would be so fun to incorporate some of these into your celebrations this weekend!
Have a great weekend!
